Irregularities in ANSES Subsidies: 283 Beneficiaries at Risk

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has discovered that 283 beneficiaries may have submitted false documents and fraudulent certificates to access various benefits. ANSES has indicated that there are grounds to revoke the benefits and consider legal action against the offenders.

In certain cities, particularly in the City and province of Buenos Aires, as well as in Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, a group of doctors is suspected of issuing certificates with false information, such as invalid registration numbers or incorrect specialties, to include these individuals in the official list of beneficiaries of programs that assist millions of Argentines.

ANSES has identified various reasons for which it might withdraw benefits from the offenders. These range from medical certificates without birth records to fabrications of pregnancy terminations, future due dates, and the use of invalid certifications, among others.

According to ANSES, once each case has been verified and the benefits have been revoked, those affected may face more serious consequences, such as being criminally charged with fraud against the State, thereby harming individuals who legitimately need the services provided by the agency.

In total, ANSES has detected 283 individuals with benefits in an irregular situation, including the Universal Allowance for Pregnancy. The investigation carried out by the Ministry of Human Capital of the Nation and ANSES concluded that around 200 cases presented irregularities, where dozens of people were receiving allocations or social plans improperly.

ANSES has announced that those individuals in this situation may lose the benefits granted, which are essential for millions of Argentines under its coverage. The irregularities found, such as medical certificates without birth records, fabrication of medical situations, incorrect due dates, and the use of false certifications, are deemed unacceptable and can lead to serious legal consequences.

In light of these violations, ANSES has expressed its willingness to go to Federal Justice to proceed with the annulment of the benefits of those involved in these fraudulent practices.
